September Project Updates

September Project Updates

This is the eighth update of 2022. These are the projects on which we are working.

Website/Social Committee - The Goodbye to Summer Pool Party was a success! Thanks to everyone that came out and joined us, including the softball team! Lots of hot dogs, Bahama Bucks, and Jeremiah's were served! A special thanks to Phil Alexander for being our grill chef for the day and everyone that helped in the set up and clean up!!

Friday 9th of September! Come on out for the TGIF (Thank Goodness it's Friday) community adult social held at the pool during the summertime from 7-9pm. Bring your own drinks and snacks and join in for some relaxing and fun conversation with friends and neighbors!

The Fall Garage Sale will be held on the 15th or 22nd of October. We are coordinating with the surrounding communities. Rest assured, our gates will be open early, and the breakfast tacos will be on site! Be sure to stay tuned on the community website. Reserveatcypresscreek.com

Your community is now handing out Welcome Folders for our new homeowners! With the gracious help of Pamela Rice and your social committee team, we will be providing a welcome folder full of useful information to our new neighbors.

Sprinkler system - After about seven months of work, our sprinkler system issues have been resolved. We repaired numerous cut wires underground to restore power to many valve stations and we re-labeled and re-inventoried every station in the subdivision. All valve stations are working and being run by either new control panels or by new battery-operated controllers that were installed. Huge credit goes to Rick Fisher and Mike Willand for their tireless effort to do all the work that was not done by our subcontractor. Both gentlemen put in over thirty hours of work on our system and without them, the work would have taken much longer and cost the community much more.

Front entrance walls and signage - When we repaired the brick keypad kiosk that was damaged due to traffic, we discovered that the walls, entry sign and the bricks out front needed to be cleaned. Once again, enter Rick Fisher to the rescue. With Rick's assistance and the use of his power washer, we cleaned all areas and hope our residents notice the difference.

Board elections - Our annual resident meeting will take place on November 8th. We will have three board positions to fill. If you are interested in running for the board, please start planning now. We need a month of advance notice prior to the annual election for candidates to declare and advise the board of their intention to run. Our next quarterly meeting will be held on October 11th.

To communicate with the Board, do one of the following:
1) Send an Email to the member with the duty responsibility you are inquiring about, and he/she should reply within days.
2) Use the website blog to discuss issues and ask questions.
3) Email directly to the Board member with the duty responsibilities you have questions or comments about.
