June Project Updates

This is the fifth project update of 2022. Here is what we are working on in no particular order.

Gate system - The new gate system is installed and complete. All updates to our new database for resident gate codes and transmitters have been entered. Additionally, the new pool hardware has been installed and everything is working properly. If you want a new gate code, transmitter, or pool card, go to the website, and fill out the form needed then submit it to our Yahoo email address.

New gate code = $0
New transmitter = $20 each
New pool card = $10 each

Send all payments for transmitters and pool cards to:
The Reserve at Cypress Creek
15215 Springhill Bend Lane
Cypress, TX 77429

Deed Restrictions - Several STOP signs throughout the community have faded badly and need replacement. We will be doing that soon and we will also be refreshing our speed limit traffic signage.

Lake - Our fountain wore out and stopped working three weeks ago. We will get a new system installed during the first week of June. The new fountain will bring a slightly different spray pattern that will be wider and not as high. Unfortunately, we lost some carp with unseasonable cold rain and the upwelling of non-aerated water, but we will restock them soon.

Website - The website continues to evolve and grow as we have added a password protected Community Directory. If you want the password, go to the [email protected] email address and request it. Once you get the password, simply click on the Residents link, and go down to the Community Directory link and click it. Enter your password and you can access your neighbors by Street Name. If you want to be removed from the directory, click the remove link. If you want to be added to the list, fill out the form at the bottom of the page and send it to the Yahoo email address. The directory includes those residents who have specifically asked to be included and those prior residents that did not request to be removed. We have a "use" statement at the beginning of the directory, and we expect that people that gain access to the directory will use it for legitimate purposes. Please be mindful of the expectation of resident privacy when using the directory.

Landscaping - The sprinklers at the front of the subdivision (outside the gate) have been repaired and are delivering water. The cement planter boxes at the top of the walls now have water and we will be replanting ferns to further enhance the look of the entrance area.

Our next step in landscaping will be to complete an analysis of the entire sprinkler system that services all communal areas. This includes areas around the lake, along the greenbelt, along the walkway leading to the Reserve detention area and all cul-de-sac islands. We have purchased rotating sprinkler heads, pop up sprinklers and extra nozzles to replace broken sprinklers. Depending on the results of the analysis, we will determine whether repairs can be completed by volunteers or if we need to hire an irrigation specialist. Stay tuned.

We are looking at refreshing the playground mulch within the confines of the playground border. This will be completed by a volunteer work crew within the next few weeks.
