TRACC residents! Help us prepare our lake for re-stocking! We need the catfish out of the lake so we can introduce more baitfish, bluegill, and bass.

Prizes to be awarded are for:

Catfish Tournament FAQ

What kind of gear do I need to fish at the lake?

Most light bait cast and spinning cast rods will do just fine! A small ice chest if you're keeping catfish. We have bass, carp, and catfish ranging from Nemo size to fish-fry size.

What kind of bait do I need?

Any type of live bait such as worms, chicken liver, shrimp, or stink bait works the best. These can be bought at Academy or Pet Supermarket. No noodling is allowed. LOL.

Who can participate?

All family members, including adults and kids living in our community, can fish!

Is there a special spot at the lake to catch the most fish? (Sweet spot)

That spot is wherever you're fishing. The water depth ranges from 1.7ft to 3.8 ft towards the center of the pond.

Are there any refreshments available? (Food Truck, Hot dogs/soda)

We will have an ice chest full of water and refreshments for everyone!

Once the fish are caught, what do I do with them?

All catfish can be kept or if you do not want to take them home, they can be turned over to the HOA ice chest on site. All bass will be returned to the pond.

What kinds of fish could we eventually see from the re-stocking of the pond?

We will be restocking with minnows (baitfish), about 500-600 bluegill, and 50-60 bass! We will keep you updated in a future blog post!
